Shakyamuni Buddha Details Description:
Speaking of Buddhism, you must think of Shakyamuni Buddha. Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism and later known as “the Buddha”, lived in the 5th century BC. Gautama was born as a prince into a wealthy family in present-day Nepal. Although Gautama led an easy life, he was moved by the suffering of the world. He decided to give up his luxurious lifestyle and put up with poverty. After six years of exploration, Buddhists believe Gautama gained enlightenment while meditating under the Bodhi tree. He spent the rest of his life teaching others how to achieve this state of mind. Shakyamuni Buddha is revered as the founder of Buddhism. It is also a good choice to offer at home or as a gift.
